Bristol City had difficult few weeks in which they lost four games on the spin. League defeats to leaders Wolves and 0-5 thrashing at the hands of Aston Villa were followed by two cup defeats against Premiership opposition (Watford in FA Cup and Manchester City in League Cup). Apart from embarrassing defeat to Aston Villa, losses in other 3 games were more or less expected, but impressive display against Manchester City deserves credit. Although they lost the match against Premier League leaders, performance in that match should give them some confidence back.
Norwich on the other hand are without defeat in last 3 league games, but they had much easier job. They faced Millwall, Burton and Birmingham, and still managed to win only their last match against Millwall, drawing the other two against two sides from relegation zone.
Norwich just lost playmaker Alex Pritchard to Huddersfield, so they will have to do in this match and in the rest of the season without him.
Bristol City are 13 points ahead of Norwich in Championship table, and their performance in their last match against Manchester City is proof that they haven’t become bad team over night, despite 4 defeats in last 4 games. They are without win against Norwich for a while, precisely in last 5 mutual league meetings since 2-1 win in 2009, but they should be motivated enough to end poor run of results, and should be strong enough to get all 3 points in this match.
